World Down Syndrome is annually observed on March 21 to raise public awareness of Down Syndrome, a congenital disorder caused by having an extra 21st chromosome.It is typically associated with physical growth delays,characteristic facial features and mild to moderate intellectual disability..World Down Syndrome is a global awareness initiative that has backed by the United Nations since 2012.
